Growing up for child stars isn't easy. All of the intense scrutiny of fans and media can be a lot to handle when going through those awkward adolescent years, to say nothing of casting directors and their power over a moppet's career.  Still, some grow up with grace and turn out totally sexy.  Check out the shocking list of these ten child stars who grew up to be smokin' hot!



Then: Alexa Vega

Alex Vega scored a string of hits with the Spy Kids films, appearing in four films in the series over a ten year period.  She also appeared on television, and made her Broadway debut as Penny in Hairspray.


Now: Alexa Vega

Vega still acts in films and on television, most notably in the rock musical Repo! The Genetic Opera! and Machete Kills for Spy Kids director Robert Rodriguez.  In 2014, she married actor Carlos Pena, Jr.

Tahj Mowry had loveable kid roles throughout the 1990s, appearing mostly on television.  His most recognizable role came as child genius TJ Henderson on the sitcom Smart Guy.

Mowry continued to act after the cancellation of Smart Guy appearing on Star Trek: Voyager and Desperate Housewives.  He currently appears on the Disney Sitcom Baby Daddy, and will venture into recording arts in 2015.

Since then, Breslin kept busy, scoring stage and screen roles in hits like Zombieland and August: Osage County. In 2012, she scored rave reviews on stage for her performance as Hellen Keller in The Miracle Worker.

Lipnicki stole America's heart in his film debut, Jerry Maguire.  He also stole the movie away from heavy hitters Tom Cruise and Renee Zellweger with his ad-libbed line, "The human head weight eight pounds!"

Lipnicki shied away from show business after a string of films like Stuart Little and The Little Vampire.  He still takes roles on occasion, preferring instead to study mixed martial arts.

Georgie Henley won the role of Lucy in the much-anticipated movie version of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and the three subsequent sequels.  Television and stage roles kept her busy until she hit college age.




Now: Georgie Henley

Henley enrolled in the University of Cambridge, taking stage roles in between her studies.  She also gained praise for her extensive charity work with SOS Children's Villages, a charity to benefit orphans.
